Dusk over Queenstown, New Zealand: Firstly, thanks to everyone who reached out on after I shared my previous photograph. I’m doing ok, it’s just hard starting over again. This week’s photograph is from a few weeks ago when I was in Queenstown for a couple of days. A good friend from my season in France is living and working in Queenstown and it was the perfect excuse to stay an extra day to explore this beautiful area. Queenstown isn’t my favourite place in New Zealand by any stretch of the imagination, I find it busy and at odds with the serene mountains and lakes which surround it. Saying that it is still one of the most picturesque places in the world and one of the most accessible. This photograph was taken from the top of the Skyline Gondola, and as you can see it offers some interesting compositions and when the light hits, it is so good. I moved into my new place yesterday, it is a tiny eco home and I’ll be sharing some photographs of it over my facebook page, so if you haven’t head on over and give Nomads on the Road a cheeky little like. Photograph details: 1/60th sec, F8.0, ISO100, 56mm, shot using an Olympus OM-D EM5. This photograph is available for purchase here.
