The Giant Cedars Boardwalk Trail, Revelstoke: The Giant Cedars Boardwalk Trail is a beautiful and easy walk through an old growth forest, found just outside of Revelstoke. Found yards from the Trans Canada Highway #1, but seemingly miles away, some of the giant cedars here are over 500 years old. When I visited Revelstoke, the whole of British Columbia was seemingly under heavy smoke from the worst wildfire season in BC history. This actually worked to my advantage for this photograph, the smoke diffused the light, with streaks and patchy light breaking through intermittently. Check back shortly for a comprehensive itinerary from my time in Revelstoke, including more photographs from the Giant Cedars Boardwalk Trail. Photograph details: 1/5th sec, F8.0, ISO 100, 29mm, shot using an Olympus OM-D EM5.
This week saw Fall in Fernie finally show her face. I’m stoked to get out and explore more of Fernie and British Columbia. Keep an eye on my Instagram and remember to like Nomads on the Road on Facebook.
