Horseshoe Lake, British Columbia: The Milky Way is one of my favourite things about summer in Canada. The lack of light pollution combined with the beautiful landscape is a photographers dream come true. I have been back in Canada for just under a week, my flight was eventful (I was struck down with a fever, aches, sore throat and a headache), but I had a great day hanging out with my friend Charlotte in Calgary, before my friend, Rick, came to pick me up and take me back to Fernie. Camping is a Canadian pastime and Horseshoe Lake is a great spot. Photograph details: 15 sec, F2.0, ISO 640, 12mm, shot using an Olympus OM-D EM5. This photograph is available for purchase here.

I missed out on this beauty while in Canada but thanks for adding to my intrigue. I’m glad to come back to later when i’m visiting again. Beautiful pictures!

What a stunning shot. That must’ve been a pretty awesome nights camping. I would love to do some camping in Canada. Only visited briefly last year and stayed just outside Edmonton in Alberta. But with skies like this over serene lakes, definitely up for heading back and exploring more!

Wow! A stunning photo! I would love to go camping in a place like this and get some night shots myself. There are so many beautiful places in the world to capture the beauty of the nature.
