Misty mountains of Tignes Les Brevieres: The Espace Killy ski area, comprised of Val Claret, Tignes le Lac, Le Lavachet, Tignes Les Boisses and Tignes Les Brévières and nearby Val d’Isère, has been hit by back-to-back storms since Friday. This means the whole area has been socked in the clouds. Yesterday (06/02/17) I was able to capture this photograph as the clouds parted for the briefest of moments and the sunlight lit up the mountains across the valley from Tignes Les Brévières. It’s moments like this which encapsulate why I love living in the mountains, while many people may think the weather is being rotten; for me, these conditions are perfect for epic landscape photography. Low light, lingering clouds and the moment the sunlight hits, all these factors make for compelling landscape photography. Photography details: 1/250 sec, F14, ISO100, 82mm.
