This week fall met winter in Fernie as the temperatures dropped and we were greeted by a beautiful blanket of snow for Thanksgiving. The climate in Fernie means snow can happen in almost every month of the year. In years gone by I can remember camping under the stars at Silver Springs in early May, only for the snow to fall in the town itself a few days later. Just when you think you have Fernie and her weather figured out, it’ll call a hail mary and throw something surprising your way.
