sunlight-on-the-fells

Sunlight on the fells: I recently returned to Lake District National Park for a long weekend of early mornings, late evening sunsets and a whole lot of yomping. My previous visit was earlier in the summer, June 2016. I was eager to return to the region with the idea of capturing the beauty of the region around Wast Water and Wasdale Head. I previously documented my visits to Lake District National Park, here and here. This trip was also a scouting mission for a possible return in the Autumn, but I was able to photograph some scenes of the fells, which I am pleased with. For this photograph, I wanted to zoom in on the mountain, as the waterfall made it’s way towards the valley bottom and Wast Water. I waited for the light to pop through the clouds and illuminate the focal point. Photograph details: 1/500 sec, ISO: 100, F5.6, 150mm, taken using an Olympus EM-5.
