Baffin Island from the air: Last week I finally returned to Canada and back to Fernie. This photograph was taken high above the glacial waters of Baffin Island as my Westjet flight flew over Canada. Baffin Island is the largest island in Canada and the fifth largest in the world. Despite its size, it has a small population of about 11,000. Named after the English explorer William Baffin, the island is hauntingly beautiful from the air. Photograph details: 1/250 sec, ISO: 100, F80, 40mm, taken using an Olympus EM-5.
