Larvik Harbour at Dusk: In the distance, I can hear the low din of Ellie Goulding entertaining the masses. It is the last night of Stavern Festival and I’ve escaped the crowds to explore Larvik Harbour at dusk. Larvik is a city located on the southern tip of Norway, a port city which has daily ferry services to Denmark. A few days earlier, as the sun was rising after a few hours rest, I disembarked the ferry, tired and ready for a nap. But even then I was drawn to the harbour and the stunningly soft light which is commonplace in Larvik at this time of year. The spot from which I photographed this long exposure was in front of a fancy new building which seemed to house apartments, bars, restaurants and even a set of stairs leading into the sea, for those brave enough to go for a swim in the cold waters. This photograph, along with many others, is available to buy, in various sizes. Please contact me via the website to discuss your options. This photograph was taken using an Olympus EM-5.
