Fishing the Wigwam River: The Wigwam River originates in Montana before winding its way north towards British Columbia. A tributary of the Elk River, the Wigwam is part of the wider Columbia Basin. Located deep in the backcountry this catch and release river, near Fernie, is teeming with cutties and the occasional bull trout. Access is via a Forest Service Road and a steep downclimb the embankment, followed by a 30-minute walk along the banks of the Wigwam. This photograph was taken using an Olympus EM-5.
